Living and working at Red Lake
At Red Lake, we think it’s very special that our town, operations and FIFO camps are all close by, so it really does feel like one big community.
Living in the stunning community of Red Lake, you get to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle and adventures the region is renowned for.
Housing
We encourage our people to live local and provide temporary single accommodation to those who qualify while you seek permanent accommodation. Residential units vary locally in terms of size and location and are available in Red Lake, Balmertown and Cochenour. Single and family dwellings are available for longer term rent within the community by local landlords, or you may choose to put down some roots and purchase a residential or lakefront property.
Camp facilities for FIFO and DIDO communities
Red Lake is 175km from Vermilion Bay which is located on Highway 17, travelling east to Thunder Bay and west to Winnipeg. Ear Falls is 70km from Red Lake. FIFO eligible employees and contractors are provided with two staging points, Thunder Bay and Winnipeg, where they fly using a company hired charter for travel.

Social Club
Red Lake Social Committee is the operation’s onsite social club which is coordinated by employee volunteers who plan, organise and deliver social events for Evolution employees. Events include (subject to change): Trivia nights, fishing tournaments, golf tournaments, open mic nights and other fun social events.

Red Lake has over 800 kilometres of rugged beautiful coastline to discover and the community is surrounded by countless unscathed lakes and water systems. Natural adventure opportunities exist all around Red Lake including hiking, swimming, birdwatching, fishing, kayaking, canoeing and hunting.
